About this course

The idea of compassionate leadership has become more mainstream over the past few years. The Covid-19 emergency has made this even more relevant and the recently published NHS People’s Plan has endorsed compassionate leadership. In this introductory day, the key issues of compassionate leadership will be outlined. Based on the principle that compassion for others is founded on self-compassion, the course will explore how you can exercise generosity and care to yourself. Another key personal issue is clarifying and then acting on your core values. The course will give you an evidenced based framework with which to help your teams function better. Finally the issue of psychological safety will be explored and ways to build this dynamic in organisations outlined. All the teaching is based on evidenced based models of psychology and organisational development.
