About this course

This two-part workshop will help you learn about the current evidence base and theories for effective training, reflect on the training you currently provide, and then enhance and apply this in an experiential learning environment. The first workshop will cover the science of training, modelling, and the importance of diversity. You will also be introduced to your problem-based learning task, which is specifically tailored to your current work and role. The second workshop is held one month later, to allow you time to embed and integrate the knowledge from the first workshop, and prepare a short training presentation based on this. You will then deliver this in the second workshop in a supportive peer environment, with trainer feedback provided on your developing competencies.

Skills You will Learn

  • Understanding what makes for effective training (online and in person)
  • Understanding the importance of diversity when training others
  • Reflecting on own training delivery
