About this course
Our training runs regularly online across two 3 hour sessions. This interactive training is delivered by CNWL staff experienced in peer working, as well as providing and receiving peer supervision in healthcare settings.
The training offers opportunities for supervisors in lived experience roles to come together and collaboratively explore the role identity plays for both peer supervisors and supervisees, as well as how to translate skills in peer working into supervision, and some practical approaches for running groups and structuring individual sessions.
Skills You will Learn
- Be able to explain and adjust to the differences between a skilled peer support worker and a skilled peer supervisor
- Understand the unique role and responsibilities of a peer supervisor (distinct to a clinical or line manager supervisor)
- Be able to explain the importance of role modelling and identity in supervision for peer workers
